Up and coming changes in payout...
posted Feb 19, 2015 at 15:24

Its been 2 years, and to this day we've mostly stayed EXACTLY the same in terms of fee, payout structure, everything.

Its time for a change.. We need to grow, we need to be able to do that safely, and to do it fair.

Enter PPLNS payout.  We've decided that its time to protect our loyal miners, and discredit pool hoppers - especially now that some LARGE asic miners are on the prowl and can easily take advantage of our legacy proportional payout system.
"Pay Per Last N Shares. Similar to proportional, but instead of looking at the number of shares in the round, instead looks at the last N shares, regardless of round boundaries."

I am a miner on this pool since the beginning, and I fully understand the benefits of PPLNS, and I hope you all join me in this transition to future proof us as more and more ASICs are becoming readily available!

Thanks for your support

Block reward removed for now
posted Dec 18, 2014 at 09:43

We were hoping offering a block reward would help the pool grow a little bit, but alas, not much different other than me spending litecoin :D

Maybe we will offer it up again in the near future.

Thanks!

Return of Block finder rewards!
posted Nov 20, 2014 at 21:19

I am excited to announce that for a limited time, we will be offering a block finder reward of 2 LTC.  This is awarded from my own Litecoin wallet instantly to each miner that finds blocks on our pool.

If you enjoy our pool please invite some of your friends!  We definately would like to see this attract some more miners so we can solve blocks more frequently.

Thanks!

Stratum share diff changes tonight.
posted May 22, 2014 at 16:25

Lets face it, ASICs are here, they are being turned over to normal miners, and like.  We want to keep our miners, and maybe even attract some new ones.  We need to expand our portfolio of share difficulties a little bit to accommodate!

We will be adding static share difficulty ports, and increasing the VARDIFF share range this evening, users should notice a brief reconnect when we restart stratum.  We will also be adjusting the rate in which we adjust share diff on VARDIFF to allow "faster" miners to quickly ramp up to speed.

Payout methods?

We've been using Proportional as our payout scheme since conception and want to collect feedback to make sure we are still in line with what our miners want.  Please vote, its very important by clicking here.

UPGRADES: DDoS Protection, helps you sleep better at night,
posted Dec 16, 2013 at 14:59

Given the higher risk lately of being a victim of a DDoS attack, we've begun engineering (or shall I say re-engineering) the pool and its overall network stance. All entry points to the pool are now fully protected by DDoS mitigation systems. We will bringing on a few new systems in the next day. 1) East and West coast stratum (Load balanced, DDoS protected) 2) Private stratum (DDoS protected aswell) for users with 10MH or higher that would like a dedicated mining experience, using hidden, IP restricted stratum servers, offering VARDIFF up to 1000 share diffs (versus normal of 32-256).

Time to start growing at a rapid rate! More to come.

Beefed up.

Reward increased again to 2.5LTC
posted Sep 5, 2013 at 09:20

As I hinted before, 100MH is a goal of ours, and I plan on offering 2.5LTC for block finders until this goal is reached. By then, block solving will be too quick to sustain that reward, and afterall I do want the pool to be around way beyond 100MH, so I will adjust reward depending on pool economics (donations, etc).

Donations anyone?
posted Sep 4, 2013 at 20:12

The pool is growing! Very happy to see it! The sad part is now were solving blocks faster and faster. Yet my miners stay the same, meaning my profit (hah what profit?) is really getting strapped because of the block rewards I want to give out. I had to lower prize to 1.5LTC for now.

Please consider donating >1%, its a tiny bit for most, but it can add up if everyone pitches in.

Thanks! ZC

Happy mining! VARDIFF is doing its thang and doing it well. We started out originally with a 15-1000 vardiff spread, which was causing erratic hashrate reporting, so 2 more adjustments and were at the sweet spot of 32 to 256. Hope everyone agrees things are running smooth. Bring on 100MH!!

VARDIFF is here!

Reward vs Fee Poll
posted Aug 5, 2013 at 10:54

As the pool grows in hashpower, obviously rewards become harder and harder to swallow (for example, we paid out 4 2LTC rewards yesterday, basically ~$20USD), so this begs the question to the future of rewards as pool grows.

I am again looking for feedback on the possibility of continuing 0% fee, with eventually no LTC reward, or a pool fee of 1%, and hanging onto the reward for much longer.

Please vote! Pool reward / Fee pool

Thanks

Pool economics calls for an adjustment of bounty to 2LTC. Keep an eye on the news for changes as I may increase it if the pool payout allows!

Bounty Poll, Please participate!!
posted Aug 1, 2013 at 09:19

As a pool operator, pool growth is my top priority. That comes with a cost (over 120LTC so far), plus the cost of running servers to support the pool. That being said, at the current pool hash/share rate, my payout + paying bounty is causing me to loose $25 a day.. (ouch?).

I don't want to jeopardize pool growth, so I need feedback on the overall thought of small bounty vs no bounty vs greed :P

Please visit http://poll.pollcode.com/fe8yb and vote!!

Tx fee lowered to 0.02

Reward schedule
posted Jul 26, 2013 at 23:43

Here's the deal with my plans for rewards: Next block is 10 LTC, then I will be stepping down to 5TC until my wallet can't handle it then down to 2LTC for then on. I will consider adding more reward LTC if two things happen: 1) The per round donation continue to pick up speed. or 2) Ad-hoc donations (not per round) to the pool (LaCxw4YccqDULZAhzZ9oV9nrtBAaao19C1) make the pool economics allow for more LTC rewards.
